  2. Hi again! Hmmmmmm questions? What is the biggest happy change you and your husband have experienced practicing DD or TTWD?

    1. I have PTSD (from past trauma) and adding DD to our marriage has helped me control my temper. At times in the past, having PTSD meant I would rage out and lose my temper in hurtful ways. Now though, I self correct as I REALLY do not want the punishment that will follow if I go back to my old ways. Oh yes, and a revitalized sex life with hoh.

  4. Hey there. Just wanted to welcome you to our neck of the woods. What made you decide that TTWD would be something to try and how did you bring this up to your hubby?

    1. I needed to find a way to have my emotional outbursts prevented. As I am often a very blunt person I only waited a few day/week before blurted out what I wanted. We were just sitting and talking and I said "I want XYZ" and he said "Okay. I think you need spanked right now"...and that was it. He took to it naturally, I however I did not submit as easily at first.

  5. How did you and your hubby meet and what was it about him that attracted you most?
Can you share how many years you've been married - and do you have kids in the home? (brings a whole nother challenge to ttwd sometimes, lol)

    1. Well, actually he was dating my best friend's mother (yes, for real). Once it ended with them I stepped in. Attraction...He was tall, broad shouldered, and strong everything I found attractive in a man. We have been married 15 years and I have 6 grown step-kids that thankfully have their own families.

  6. What are some of the ways you show your submission to your husband?

    1. Hi Meredith,

One way I show my submission is this:

When a topic of discussion arises that may have me in a light that is dominate actually get down on my knees in front of him and discuss it. That way I am not seen as "topping from the bottom" (to use a bdsm term). I also, take one day a week and avoid the laptop, cell phone, and internet and devote it to just him.

  7. Hi, my first visit here. I hope everything is going well for you. Just wondering how you came to discover ttwd and what made you start your blog? Also do any of your real life friends know about your dd life?

    1. Hi Jan,

I began searching for what it was I wanted without knowing what it was called. I landed on the Taken In Hand website and started reading. I then saw what DD/TTWD was and knew that was what I wanted. I had a name for it and it made me feel...normal. I started my blog to reach out to others in our lifestyle (I am very glad I did it, look at all these comments!) In answer to your last question, No. No one knows about ttwd. In the future, maybe. But, not right now. At times it is difficult to keep this from my best friend, as I tell her everything. I just do not know if she will understand.

  9. Hi. Welcome to blogging :) Congratulations for beginning your DD /TTWD journey! My question for you is have you included any other punishments in your dynamic? If so what are they?

    1. Hi Lillyanna,

Thank you for your kind words.

The one hoh has added (that I despise) is technology restriction. If I lose my temper too much or too often all technology is disallowed. Although we do not use that punishment often, it is VERY effective.

    1. Hi Janelle,

My biggest struggle is keeping my mouth shut. My husbands, is....*sound of crickets*...balancing punishment with my Multiple Sclerosis. He does not want o make my constant pain worse.

      Favorite quote:

“Love never dies a natural death. It dies because we don't know how to replenish its source. It dies of blindness and errors and betrayals. It dies of illness and wounds; it dies of weariness, of witherings, of tarnishings.”

    2. I admire your honesty about your MS - and for trusting us with it so soon. I'm sure it will bring some challenges in your ttwd journey - but we will all be here to support you along the way. Such a lovely quote btw. :)

    3. Cali,

I chose to share all I could as I want this to be my place for friendships and discussion. Without mentioning that I have MS it would make it difficult to understand my limits and experiences.

      Hugs,

      Kathy

  12. What do you get the most spankings for? What is your favorite hobby?

    1. Hi Megan,

By far my mouth causes the most spankings. I have no idea why I do it, but I just open my mouth and become sarcastic when I am upset. My favorite hobby is Crochet and Knitting.

      Kathy

  13. Hello and welcome! :) It's my first visit here, so I haven't read yet, but do you receive discipline or punishment whenever there is a need or have you got a certain time of the week when all is settled again (like a punishment day)?

    1. Hi Ni Na,

My hubby settles the score as it happens (unless we are away from the house). No time to talk my way out of it. Plus we do maintenance spankings as needed. I prefer the good girl spankings over all of it. We tried a punishment day, but it did not curb my mouth enough.

      Hugs,

      Kathy

  14. Hi!
How long have you been doing ttwd?
What do you and Him like to do in your spare time?

As far as MS goes, there are other forms of punishment besides spanking. Just a thought...

    1. Sarah,

We have been doing ttwd for about 8 months. Jim and I like to travel (when we can afford it). Mostly, we enjoy going out to eat and pampering each other.

As far as the MS goes, I am in pain at all times. But, for some reason the spanking and things like the flogger actually relieve the pain from MS. If, the pain is too much I get a time-out (I sit in a chair in one of the corners of our bedroom (he adapted corner time for the MS). Or, he takes my toys away, like the laptop, kindle, phone...etc.

      Hugs,

      Kathy
